Accomplishments
- Supervised the HC IIIs, IV and hospital on QI projects of improving the 1st ANC in the 1st trimester and 4th ANC visit in 2022.
- Supervised team Besia HC III, wrote a Quality Improvement Project and presented it at the National Conference of Munyoyo 2021.
- Wrote an abstract on Measles investigation in Moyo district and won an award to go and present in Mozambique but no sponsor in 2018.
- The following year 2007, I worked with DHT and won another meticulous award from MOH under Danida program for preparing the best annual work plan. A trip to Sri Lanka was sponsored but due to the Tiger Gorilla war, the MOH canceled the trip.
- Worked with the District Health Team (DHT), the MOH under the Danida program, and gave the district a meticulous award and a trip to Thailand for the best annual work plan done in Uganda in 2006.
- Worked with the DHT, the MOH gave a meticulous award for the best-performing district immunization coverage in Uganda in 1992.
Additional Information
As the District Surveillance Focal Person, I participated in the fight against COVID-19 and the Implementation of Infection Prevention and Control. The impact was that fewer health workers were infected and COVID-19 transmission in the community was reduced., My role as a Health Sub District In Charge was planning, organizing supervising and managing the health systems, which resulted in improved service delivery and award of prizes for the district., Being the Health Centre IV In Charge, I played the role of an administrator and a manager. I planned, coordinated, organised, and managed the health system. The impacts realized were good patient care, team spirit at work, good indicators of performance and mutual understanding with communities and their leaders., Also, my role as a Health Centre III In Charge was to organise, plan, manage and coordinate the activities of the facility and ensure things are run to standards. The impact was that, staff adopted CQI projects to improve quality care within the facility.

In a team we contained Covid 19 and Yellow fever out breaks in Moyo district. Conducted active surveillance in health facilities and communities. Detected, reported investigated and transported specimen. Conducted CQI learning sessions for facility staff in the district. Wrote CQI journal on Improving 4th ANC visit in Besia HC III. Trained health workers on 3rd version Integrated Disease Surveillance Response, Comprehensive Malaria Management Tuberculosis, Comprehensive ART Management and Village Health Teams on Community Based Surveillance. Monitored and evaluated the CQI process at the facility. Extracted data for CQI journals for the district facilities. Documented, and shared best practices and lessons learned from other successfully Trained district mentors to roll out CQI to other facilities.
