• Accomplishments
• · Good Financial Governance in Africa Project funded by GIZ; Developed a training curriculum for the Tax Investigations program module for the extractives sector for African Tax Administrations.
• · Capacity building for revenue administrations project; Delivered technical assistance and proposed tax reforms four tax administrations in Africa; South Sudan National Revenue Authority (SSNRA), South African Revenue Service (SARS), Angola Revenue Authority (AGT) and Mozambique Revenue Authority (MRA) where I participated in tax reforms on international tax, transfer pricing and Value Added tax for the extractives sector.
• · FCDO and Sida-funded project; Delivered technical Capacity trainings to MRA in collaboration with the Taxing Efficiently for Developing Inclusively (TEDI) Programme where I reviewed the transfer pricing regulation for Mozambique Revenue Authority and proposed policy changes, delivered a joint training with the OECD BEPS Capacity Building Team on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting in the extractives sector, trained tax audit teams on advanced audit techniques for VAT administration and policy solutions to address the tax leakages in the downstream sector, Trained on International Accounting standards used in the Extractives sector and suggested policy recommendations for the extractives sector.

Accomplishments

• Cross-border negotiation; Participated in the cross-border tax negotiations between Uganda and Tanzania for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project EACOP).
• Best performer; Was awarded as the best performer and for the dedication and extraordinary service to Uganda Revenue Authority for the period 2021.
• Project coordination; As a team leader in charge of Business Process re-engineering, automation, and integration interventions, I have coordinated, consulted, and engaged different stakeholders namely Government, taxpayers, staff and development partners like IMF, World Bank, ATAF, IBFD and the Netherlands Tax Office in the design and application of proposed business processes to achieve project objectives.
• Was nominated as the Contact person for Uganda Revenue Authority for the Technical Working Group (TWG) on the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) in Oil and gas.
• Wrote a paper on the analysis of Uganda’s institutional framework and its sufficiency in managing petroleum revenues collection for the 10th East African Petroleum Conference and Exhibition.
• Was nominated as a tax information quality assurance committee member for tax content in the area of Petroleum and international tax.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitored and reported on taxpayer compliance with the tax laws
• Client Service Management and mediation, and issuing guidance to taxpayers on their tax rights and obligations through tax education and sensitization programs.
• Initiated payment reminders and monitored revenue collections from taxpayers

Accomplishments

• Block system management project: Successfully implemented the first ever block management project as an audit team leader which contributed to the realization of the URA collection target for the FY 2018/2019.
• Taxpayer Ledger reconciliation project: Was part of the pioneer team for the taxpayer ledger reconciliation project for determining accurate tax balances for taxpayers, which resulted in a recovery of 120% of the allocated revenue target and has facilitated the collection of significant tax revenue to date.

Was Project accountant and administrator of four donor-funded projects namely;

• Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Project in Nakasongola District Central Uganda Rufford Foundation Grants project.
• Uganda- Kenya Regional Transboundary Hydro Power Interconnection DFID project.
• Stakeholder mapping exercise for the Development and Advocacy for the Nile Basin region, World Bank Project.
• Benefit Sharing and Tension Reduction Plans “Lakes Edward and Albert Integrated Fisheries and Water Resources Management Project (Uganda and DR Congo) World Bank project.
