  • Responsible for carrying out Periodic Risk based compliance Audits in line with the Company’s annual Compliance Plan and based on the ISO 37301 Standard on Compliance Management Systems.
  • I conduct staff sensitizations on the Company’s compliance obligations and sensitizations on approved internal policies.
  • I participate in competence profiling of Company Staff through participation on Interview Panels and Peer Review Panels. I have participated in at least 3 peer review panels that have undertaken staff competency profiling.
  • Provide Secretarial and Support Services to Company Management in line with Company Management Charter and meeting schedule.
  • Designated department Budget Liaison and in this capacity I am responsible for formulating the Department’s Annual Budget in line with the approved work plan and defending the budget before the Finance Department.
  • Provide Legal Advice to Management and Staff of the Company upon request.
  • Drafting of Contracts, Loan Agreements, Grant agreements and MOUs in line with approved Checklist and drafting of Chief Executive Officer’s Correspondence to external parties such as Regulatory Bodies.

  • In charge of drafting and review of bilateral and tripartite contracts between KCCA and various service providers, government agencies, ministries and departments.
  • I drafted contracts between the Kampala Capital City Authority and China Railway Seventh Group for road upgrades in the Ugandan Capital Kampala. This Project was sponsored by International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group.
  • Official contracts liaison to the office of the Solicitor General (Chief Government lawyer). As liaison I ensured that for the first time in 06 years the Office of Solicitor General cleared 100% of the Contracts referred to it at the close of the Financial Year.
  • Draftsman for Kampala Capital City Regulations and Ordinances. I drafted the Kampala Capital City Markets Ordinance and a Sewerage and Fecal Sludge Management Law for Kampala in partnership with GIZ and officers from Attorney General.
  • Chief Legal advisor and Corporation Secretary to the Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club, the biggest football club in the Ugandan Local league. I reformed the Player contracts used by the Club.
  • In my tenure, the Club has won several trophies and made history as the first Ugandan Club to play in the Group stages of the revamped Confederation of African Football Associations (C.A.F) Confederations Cup in 2017.
  • The club also secured a sponsorship agreement with MTN Uganda which saw the club get Uganda Shillings 1.29 Billion (USD 300,000) over 3 years.
