· Liaising with all departments on their requirement

· Receiving and reviewing all procurement requisitions

· Planning and scheduling all procurement activities

· Searching and procuring all goods and services required by the company

· Preparing and maintaining suppliers data base

· Preparing all the necessary tender documents

· Participating in opening and awards of tenders

· Negotiation and achieving value for money

· Drafting of contracts documents

· Follow up of contracts execution and advising management

· Preparing purchases orders for goods and services

· Tracking and expediting in-wards bounds goods

· Advising suppliers on shipment

· Coordinating with clearing agents on issues pertaining to clearing goods at ports of entries

· Follow up on supplier’s payment

· Carrying out routine vendor audits to ascertain level of compliance

Ø Sourcing, negotiating and buying of equipment and all its associated requirement

Ø Carrying out regular suppliers ratings with a view on improving service delivery and value for money

Ø Monitoring stock levels with a view of replenishing stock before stock out

1. Administrative Duties:

· Preparing timely management reports.

• Supervising and guiding procurement Officers
• Assist the Head of Department in providing on-job support and mentoring of subordinate staff.

· Training new staff and interns

· Have successfully and negotiated and procured goods on a regular basis worth billions of Shillings both locally and internationally

· Has successfully managed projects portfolio worth 10 million USD right from negotiation, contracting and completion level

Ø Receipts, storage and issues of goods

Ø Making weekly and monthly stock reports

Ø Writing GRN for all in-coming goods

Ø Carrying out monthly physical stock check

Ø Reconciliation of stock discrepancies

Ø Tracking goods ordered by the organization

Ø Co-ordinating with clearing agents

Ø Supervising stores staff

Ø Co-coordinating with URA on tax related issues
