I am tasked with the responsibility of acquisition of all operations equipment, lubricants, machineries, spare parts, and consumables associated to a civil construction site which include; purchasing cement, sand, and aggregate in accordance with the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), scheduling payments in accordance with changes in market rates, and ensuring delivery to the job site.
I am also responsible for budget and inventory monitoring and management paired with successful negotiations skills enables me increase the quality of service offerings through value engineering, building and retaining relationships with reliable suppliers, and lead time optimization. Monitor supplier performance metrics such as delivery times, quality of goods and services, pricing levels while making sure project timelines and milestones are met and completely effectively to a high standard, and within the allotted money, time, and scope of work.
In my day to day firm wide contribution to the Tilenga project, I oversee the project's procurement processes, including technical and commercial discussions, conduct market research in order to identify potential suppliers and obtain competitive bids from them.
I review invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness prior to payment processing.
And to harness collaboration and team work, I generate periodic reports related to the project's procurement activities for senior management review to support informative decision making for the project management team.

I was able to achieve my targets and goals by developing and maintaining a database of suppliers according to their capabilities, costs, delivery timescales and quality standards.
I negotiated contracts with suppliers to ensure the best value for money on purchases, monitored stock levels regularly to identify any shortages or overstocking issues and also analyzed vendor performance data to identify areas for improvement in procurement processes while conducting cost analysis for various products and services to evaluate price competitiveness.
