Provide reliable and safe driving services to the World Vision staff, donors, sponsors, partners and visitors ensuring the highest standards of discretion and integrity, sense of responsibility, and excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. As a driver I demonstrate a client-oriented approach, courtesy, confidentiality, tact and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.

Under the overall guidance of the Transport and Logistics I provide driving services to UPLIFT Project Manager, Staff and Partners as it may dim necessary and in the field; picking and dropping of Staff and visitors of all categories to and from the airport and to the field as per the approval. I also ensure the vehicle assigned to me is in good mechanical condition and provide basic administrative and clerical support to the UPLIFT Project and entire World Vision Family.

Ø Provide day to day maintenance of the assigned Motor vehicles by ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean and ensure that daily vehicle inspection is done before any journey and see to it that the car complies with the Minimum Operating Security Standards.

Ø Provide vehicle stewardship

Ensure cost-saving by driving responsibly, maintaining daily vehicle logs, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil change, servicing, greasing and repairs; provide inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports.

Ø Provide reliable and secure driving services

Drive office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel to and from the field; pick and drop donors, sponsors and other official personnel and visitors at the airport, including visa and customs formalities arrangements when required; verify that all passengers wear seatbelts at all times in the vehicle; ensure all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents

As a head driver under HIWA-USAID Project, I ensured all project drivers submitted individual vehicle monthly reports on time to facilitate proper management of the fleet and this would enable me to generate a general monthly Project Vehicles and send to the Transport and Logistics Manager for scrutiny, advise and then filing.
