  • Contracted by World Health Organization for 16 months to support Northern Ethiopia Humanitarian crisis (Tigray, Amhara and Afar regions)
  • Conducted and analyzed Situation/Gap analysis of 30 Tertiary and Primary Hospitals to adherence to National Protocol on Management of Severe Acute malnutrition (SAM). After which provided key recommendations for priority actions to improve on quality of care of all children Under fives years
  • Supported establishment, equipment and surveillance of fifty mobile health and nutrition teams to support delivery of essential health services in zones where health facilities were severely damaged.
  • Completed capacity building of 300 Frontline health workers on Management of severe acute malnutrition across Northern Ethiopia regions with updated 2019 Guidelines by FMOH.
  • Onboarded and trained 5 national officers to build local capacity and as additional support to provide mentorship and coaching for hospital staff in case management to develop appropriate skills required to manage hospitalized children.
  • Was engaged in revision of Guidelines for Management of Moderate Acute malnutrition for Ethiopia
  • Engaged in development of joint statement on Infant and young child feeding in emergencies for Ethiopia
