• Contributed to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
• Prepared teaching materials, conducted lectures, coordinated examination, and assessment processes in Welding Technology and Material Science.

For example, currently, coordinating a €998.345 European Union funded STEM-education project with the ACTEA, a consortium of Universities from Belgium, Netherland , Greece, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda.

• Participated in planning, organizing of relevant data collection documents and inception meeting on Greening UNHCR inception project.
• Conducted energy audit through the six site of UNHCR/OPM compound in Lamwo, Adjumani, Moyo and Arua, using survey tools, key informant interviews, and load measurements to capturing As-Is situation.
• Participated in field data analysis to assess current costs, problems and potential for energy savings .
• Prepared audit reports containing energy analysis results and compiled list of recommended updates, including appliance upgrades, setting changes and improvements to be made.

Consultant for the delivery of a baseline survey for establishment of eco-industrial parks (EIP), program in Uganda. The project was funded by GIZ in Collaboration with Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD). I played the following roles:-

• Managed the design of digital baseline survey toolkits, training of data enumerators and testing surveys tool.
• Coordinated data collection from 32 factories in Namamve, Kampala, 12 factories in Mbale and Kasese industrial parks.
• Guided stakeholders mapping, focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
• Participated in writing various communications documents including final report while providing expert opinion and recommendation on the solid and liquid waste management strategy suitable for eco-industrial parks establishment across Uganda

• Supported OTV-the technological subsidiary of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies in the installations, testing and commissioning of electro-mechanical equipment at the 45,000 m3 per day wastewater treatment plant in Bugolobi Uganda
• Participated in tendering process through bid documents preparation, contract negotiation and awards.
• Conducted water quality studies to identify and characterize water pollutant sources and the impact of projects on environmental
• Oversaw the introduction of new technologies in Uganda such as containerized treatment systems and created marketing tools that resulted into increased sales worth $258, 000, exceeding the quarterly targets.
• Represented Veolia in conferences and trade show exhibitions.

Project: The bioenergy, fertilizer, and clean water from invasive aquatic macrophytes, a £1.7m BBSRC-funded (GCRF).The project focuses on using invasive aquatic macrophytes (water hyacinth) and nutrient rich waste (manure, fecal sludge) in combination with immobilized microbial systems to facilitate the production of biogas, clean water and recovery of nutrients in developing countries. My roles

• Participated in the planning of research protocols, budget, and equipment procurements
• Organized and conducted scientific research on the use of water hyacinth as a bio-indicator of heavy metal pollutions at the shores of Lake Victoria, optimization of pre-treatment and co-digestion of water hyacinth, and reactor configuration to maximize bio-methane yields.
• Investigated the integration of single and multi-stage anaerobic digestion for biomethane production and Develop the use of carbon additives (hydrochar, biochar, charcoal) for improving conversion and product quality.
• Published the results in reports, Journals, conferences, and seminars

• Prepared tender/bidding documents, negotiated and produced contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, and material suppliers.
• Produced engineering design, BOQ, drawings and managed construction of bio-latrine technology in schools and institution across Uganda, Mozambique, Togo and Haiti projects as a strategy for sanitation and waste management funded by UN-Habitat, GIZ, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD).
• Provided technical advice in selection, procurement/importation, installation, testing and commissioning of briquette production facilities across uganda, funded by MEMD and Belgium Technical Corporation
• Developed and implemented procedures for disposing solid and hazards waste in accordance to National Environment Management Authority regulation in 4 national teachers colleges across Uganda , funded by Belgium Technical Corporation
• Developed waste management policies the institutions and trained staff on proper waste handling.
• Provided da-to-day management of all the about 15 staffs

GIZ-Projects

• Conducted baseline assessments for market-based energy access for scale up project in four refugee settlements in Uganda.
• Independent verification audit (IVA) for solar home system and grid densification across Uganda.
• Data collection and analysis on solar PV market in Uganda Phases 1 & 2.
• Study on challenges for private sector led investments in small scale renewable energy businesses in Uganda.

• Mobilization of materials and conduction of training of Solar technician in Kitgum/Lamwo trainees

• Performed troubleshooting and repair for complex electrical and mechanical equipment in the various department including compound mixing, Extrusion, Calendaring, Fabric cutting, tire building, tire vulcanization ,inner tubes, packaging, and lab equipment.
• Played a liaison role between the Uganda and China Factory during training and transfer of Knowledge

• Worked closely with the Mpigi Town Council and District Council In: (1) providing waste bins to Mpigi market for Waste Sorting (separation of organic and inorganic waste), (2) Community sensitization campaign in Mpigi market to teach town people about on site waste management, (3) Securing an agreement to collect Mpigi market waste to feed our site’s micro-scale biogas system and (4) Hiring local residents to assist in waste-stream analysis, market supervision, and waste transportation to the W2E site.
