Summary
Currently I am Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor at the Royal Danish Embassy in Uganda (DANIDA) in charge of planning, Program Quality, Research and learning across the various programs. Previous I was the Deputy Director Programs and Head of Program Quality and Learning (MEAL) at Care International in Uganda Country Office managing Program Quality and the MEAL function for 04 Programs, supported the East and Central Africa MEAL function. While at Care International, I acted in various capacities; for 08 months I was Ag. Head of Program for the Humanitarian Program and another time as Ag. Head of Climate Justice program but also acted as Director Programs (PD) severally having been the Deputy Program Director while at Care international. This role of head of program quality provided a great opportunity for constant engagement with donors, partners, government institutions and spear headed resource mobilization with support of Business development manager. I am an experienced manager with vast expertise in managing complex projects, programs, and Country office portfolios in busy and dynamic environments with additional skills to run a sub office. I have led Country office Programmatic Audit function, working with external auditors, and providing management response to all program related audit queries and ensuring corrective measures are instituted in areas the audit found gaps.

- Developed the Care Uganda Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability Framework (MEAL)
- Developed a learning agenda and implemented monthly learning sessions for all staff
- I developed standardized Country office level planning, tracking, and reporting tools which included multi year work plan templates, annual work plan templates, quarterly work plan templates, concept note templates, standardized template for evaluation of external consultants and firms being used across projects and programs
- Nurtured a culture that promoted data analytics and data-driven decision making across CARE work streams including programs, program support and senior management
- Ensured MEAL system produced critical program quality and program performance reports including delivery rates, reach, impact, evaluations, progress reports, advocacy, and policy papers as well as research, learning and accountability reports
- I have developed functional dash boards for all four programmatic areas for CARE international in Uganda

- I supported the resource mobilization strategy and proposal development to increase the resource envelope working closely with program managers and the business development manager

- By 2024 when I exited, I had spearheaded development of 08 project proposals submitted to EU ECHO, Royal Danish Embassy, Ministry of Foregin affairs of Netherlands.
- I led review and submission over 18 donor reports for instance EU (EUFT, ECHO), UN Women, UNFPA, CARE Denmark, CARE USA, Bill and Mellinda Gates Foundation, GOU through DINU project, Norway Government

- DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING
- I rapporteured in all technical working group monthly meetings, project steering committee meetings.
- I prepared donor reports, the Project implementation report (PIR) for the Strengthening climate information and early warning systems (SCIEWS) project 2017-2018, the annual reports for the adoption of improved cooking technologies project (2018) and the annual performance report (APR) for the wetlands project 2019-2021
- I prepared the annual result-oriented reporting (ROAR) for the UNDP Country office for my program the NCER the biggest unit at the UNDP Country office
