In this role, I Conduct research in one of six vital sub-projects including climate change and food production, renewable energy, sexual and reproductive health, and innovative business entrepreneurship aimed at enhancing youth employability, Design and implement research studies, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation, support in Developing research proposals to secure funding and resources, Collaborating with other researchers to design and implement research projects, Analyzing and interpreting data, support in preparing research reports, manuscripts, and presentations for dissemination to academic and non-academic audiences and Stay up-to-date with recent research developments
1. Designed and delivered trained 20 district officers, 15 sub county chiefs, 15 community Development officers and over 50 parish chiefs on improved policy design and development techniques, data collection and reporting mechanisms.
2. Designed and delivered trainings to over 100 local leaders on education management information systems.
3. Supported district planning and education service departments in reviewing data tools used in collecting data for education management information system (EMIS).
4. Trained over 300 community education volunteers in data collection at school and community level.
5. Supported 4 sub counties in Nakaseke district to develop new tools for EMIS data collection.
6. Prepared and presented quarterly reports to the District Education service department on project progress in all sub counties supported.
7. Monitored progress of roots rise program for over 1000 children in 15 primary schools.
8. Initiated and enlisted over 300 children to roots to rise ewaka program and trained them how to use USSD codes.
9. Negotiated sustainability plans for community education volunteer program with Nakaseke District chief administration officer.
10. Identified and trained over 500 community Education Volunteer in community engagement and teaching at the right level techniques.
11. Led monitoring and evaluation activities to track project progress and impact suing taro works and sales force.
12. Negotiated Community Education volunteer program funding with the Nakaseke district local government.
As Technical Advisor, i gained the following skills: Project management and Planning, Budgeting, Data collection and reporting, Stake holder engagement
In this role, i trained teachers, head teachers and community volunteers in modern pedagogical techniques for teaching literacy and numeracy to primary children. In this program i offered capacity building to over 500 teachers, 500 community volunteers and collected data on learner progression whilst reporting the same. In this program i gained the following skills Project management, Planning, Budgeting, Data collection methods, Stake holder engagement, Training design & delivery, pedagogical tarl and Leadership in this role.
