  • Developed a One Health Risk Communication Training Manual for Journalists and Spokespersons.
  • Organized capacity optimization trainings with representatives from the Global Health Security (GHS) line ministries and implementing partners.
  • Drafted a petition to Parliament of Uganda to amend the Public Health Act to include One Health Approach as a mechanism of response to infectious disease outbreaks that arise as a result of the interface between human, animal and their shared environment.
  • Conducted a GHS Audience Consultations in Bundibugyo and Kamwenge districts, and a co-creation design workshop to support the development of a comprehensive community engagement toolkit for GHS risk communication.
  • Held a dissemination workshop for the findings of the zoonotic disease audience consultation with One Health stakeholders.
  • Conducted a GHS After Action Review and Learning Event which provided an opportunity for cross-learning among One Health stakeholders.
  • Conducted a Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) reality check for priority zoonotic diseases (PZDs) where we mapped PZDs partners, assessed government ministries and partners’ risk communication capacities and needs, which findings informed the Internal Joint External Evaluation (JEE) Assessment.
  • Currently developing a One Health SMART Advocacy Strategy.
