Project-01: Expansion Project Phase-2 - JET-A1 Fuel Farm
In this role, I was responsible for designing and managing pipeline and pressure systems for a fuel farm with a capacity of 90,000 cubic meters per day and a 20 km fuel hydrant system. I ensured the robustness and reliability of these systems by applying international codes and standards, including ASME, ANSI, ISO, NFPA, IPC, API, ISO 13623:2017, and Doc 9977. My duties included conducting comprehensive risk assessments, utilizing advanced techniques such as Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics, and participating in gate reviews, risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and environmental impact assessments.

I drove value engineering efforts by focusing on cost-effective solutions and optimizing resources to enhance project efficiency and performance. My role also involved optimizing mechanical integrity and operations, employing data-driven approaches to identify and address engineering modifications and root causes of unreliability. I provided technical expertise for due diligence in potential M&A opportunities, guided design, construction, and procurement activities, and managed the operation and maintenance of the fuel farm and hydrant system in compliance with standards.

For this project, I led the design and construction of a 24-inch, 70 km Jet A1 fuel supply line, ensuring adherence to international standards such as ASME, ANSI, ISO, NFPA, IPC, API, ISO 13623:2017, and Doc 9977.

My responsibilities included managing solid and liquid waste systems associated with the fuel supply line, incorporating best practices in integrity management and environmental impact assessment. I implemented value engineering strategies to optimize costs and improve project outcomes. Additionally, I liaised with government authorities to obtain necessary approvals and ensure regulatory compliance.

My role required effective planning and management of construction phases, waste management, and environmental considerations, ensuring the successful execution of the project.

Oversaw operational facilities asset management and project management for the Doha International Airport refurbishment project, preparing the airport for the FIFA 2022 World Cup. Coordinated extensive refurbishment projects, led construction efforts, and supervised the testing and commissioning of critical systems such as fire water systems, potable water systems, sewage collection and treatment systems, baggage handling systems, and automated doors.


Managed both OPEX and CAPEX budgets for Facilities Management Contracts administration, ensuring cost-effective management and maintenance. Developed and maintained detailed budget reports, monitored expenditures, and implemented cost-saving measures. Negotiated contracts to optimize financial performance and manage expenses effectively.


Aligned asset management functions with industry standards such as ISO 55001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Integrated these standards into service level agreements and key performance indicators. Initiated internal training programs to ensure compliance with ISO standards, providing essential knowledge to a team of 114 employees and 4 contractors. fire suppression, lighting, and security.


Impressively, I completed this complex project
within six months and within the allocated budget.
Beyond project management, I also handled the
OPEX budget for ongoing operations and
maintenance, from tendering contracts to
contractor mobilization, ensuring fiscal
responsibility while maintaining high-quality
facility management.


I managed hard and soft facilities asset
management contracts, ensuring compliance with
SLA's and KPI's to maintain the terminal's high
operational standards. This involved intricate
system knowledge and effective workforce and
resource management.


Furthermore, I played a key role in developing
and implementing a passenger logistics plan,
ensuring a seamless transfer process from the
cruise ship terminal to the airport. This required

Landscaping, the role involved the

landscaping assets, encompassing both soft and
hardscape areas. This included overseeing the
operation and maintenance of 30 automatic
irrigation controllers, more than 1000 valves and
solenoids, an intricate irrigation piping network,
an 800 CMH pumping station, 2000 electrical
landscaping decoration lighting fixtures, and
maintenance of a substantial area covering
approximately 500,000 square meters of trees,
shrubs, hedges, ground cover, and lawns.


Some of the noteworthy responsibilities and
achievements in this position included
successfully leading the contract novation
process, meticulously cataloging landscaping
assets in a Computerized Maintenance
Management System (CMMS), and effectively
developing and executing operational and capital
expenditure budgets for the landscaping
department. Budget optimization was achieved
through the enhancement of maintenance
strategies based on technical analyses.
Furthermore, the role involved managing and
delivering the irrigation and landscaping operation
and maintenance contract in accordance with
contractual SLAs and KPIs, including the
development and implementation of a
comprehensive maintenance strategy and the
incorporation of landscaping and irrigation assets
into the CMMS.


One remarkable accomplishment was leading an
irrigation water optimization and management
project that resulted in substantial water
consumption savings of over QAR 21 million
between 2018 and April 2019. Additionally, the
role required providing leadership and training to
a team of contractor staff in key Airport Assets
Management standards, safety management
systems, and airport operation processes and
procedures. In summary, the Interim Manager for
Irrigation and Landscaping played a pivotal role in
efficiently managing and maintaining extensive
landscaping assets while achieving significant

drinking water. Furthermore, I maintained and

industrial equipment, including boilers and
catering equipment. I also oversaw the upkeep of

loading bridges, elevators, and cargo docking
systems, which were vital for the facility's smooth
operation.


My role demanded a diverse skill set and a
commitment to excellence in maintaining these

In my role, I had the crucial responsibility of

various wet utility systems, working closely with
facilities management contractors. The assets
under my purview were diverse and included
essential infrastructure such as wastewater
collection and treatment systems, a centralized
irrigation system, automated high-pressure
firefighting systems, central potable water pumps,
boilers, industrial catering equipment, industrial
overhead coiling systems, automated passenger
loading bridges, fixed jet bridges, elevators,
walkators, and escalators, as well as cargo
docking systems. My role involved ensuring the
efficient and reliable performance of these
systems, guaranteeing the safety and
functionality of critical utility services, and
collaborating effectively with external contractors
to achieve these objectives.


In addition to system maintenance, I played a key
role in coordinating the operations and resources
required for the continued functionality of these
essential assets. This included routine
