Procurement, custody and account for all the components and materials used on the Uganda Airlines fleet.
• Ensure that before being stored and inventoried, all controlled materials are inspected and certified by the receiving inspector in accordance with the UCAA regulations. • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors for best terms and seeking authorization from Director of Maintenance where necessary.
• Reconcile invoices, issue notes with the physical count and notify supervisor in case of any discrepancies.
• Regular checking of environmental (storage) condition i.e., cleanliness, temperature and humidity under which aircraft materials and parts are stored.
• Raising necessary paperwork for exporting and repair of aircraft parts.
• Monitor supplier’s performance using non-conformance report form.
Provision of relevant information to supervisor on the status of the fast-moving materials, especially consumable aircraft parts.
• General supervision of stores in the absence of the store’s supervisor.
• Prepare orders, ensuring packaging and proper dispatching.
• Report missing materials/damage/ robbery.
• Responsible for arranging stock by MSF standards.
