Accomplishments
- Led and supervised team of fellow medical students in a community research project to identify health challenges of Ishongororo community and generated solutions to address them. We arranged and mobilized resources for community health education, HIV counseling and testing. Our project scored 5/5.
- I led and collaborated with the team of the Guild Health Ministry to draft the idea and conducted the very first Mbarara University Community Health Exhibition. It greatly improved health and lifestyle habits of both the students and the general community of people around the university. It is an idea going on even until now every year.
- The Red Cross Society was the Second-best performing club at Namilyango College after Art Club when I was president in 2011. We ran charity campaigns to reach out to the less privileged communities around the school. We involved the student community and raised items like books, personal care items, reading material and we shared with the less privileged student and pupil communities around the college.
