A qualified, dedicated and experienced social scientist specialized in Gender Based Violence Prevention, child protection and safe guarding. Have had several years of progressively responsible work Experience with government, non-governmental organizations, and UN agencies through partnership, in the capacities of Programme officer/Administrator, Project Assistant, Child Helpline Counselor, Case worker and Child Protection/adoption Officer. I am interested in social economic recovery and development work, emergency interventions, promoting rights, protection, and community resilience to responding to what affects them. Skills include working in complex humanitarian emergencies, and community/social development. I have worked in post-conflict and emergency contexts in Northern Uganda during the L.R.A insurgency in the IDP camps, rescuing the children and adults returnees. Good awareness, understanding of capacity building, social dialogue, conflict resolution, partnership development and protection (child protection, sexual and gender based violence). I am self-motivated, love new adventures and always ready & open to learn new ideas and interventions.

  • I have been a volunteer in charge of the organization that has been self-funded by an individual that has passion in supporting the vulnerable children and single parents especially women
  • As a volunteer, the days for my vacation, I used them for monitoring the education and performance of 45 children that the CBO supports, held meetings with the children, parents and the teachers, conducted training for local councils in child rights and protection, GBV including the roles of local leaders in in protection in two villages
  • It has been a very good experience to work with the people at the grassroots.

Case manager and Call Center Supervisor

  • As a case manager and a call center counselor, one of the expectations is to receive calls through the toll free number 116 that was designated by the government as a channel through which people are able to report all cases of child abuse, seek for counseling and guidance
  • Case management and follow up on the other side has greatly improved my day to day interactions and how I have been able manage cases of abuse
  • All cases of child protection and GBV concerns are handled and treated with respect, confidentiality at all levels
  • Referral of cases that need expertize are worked on with a network of government, NGOs, International organizations to have the victims receive a holistic service
