Operate vehicle according to MTI fleet management policies and Uganda road regulations to ensure the safety and security of passengers, while adhere to zero traffic road penalty cost charges
In emergency cases, support the nurse in administering first aid and additional interventions that support patient’s health
I am in lives saving by contributing to timely delivery and safety of medical emergency and patients’ referrals to regional referrals hospital or other health facilities
Identify maintenance needs and immediately alert supervisor of any conditions of concern before transporting passengers, checking the assigned vehicle on daily hence, reporting the needs thus to avert road accidents
Transport the vehicle to appointed vendor facilities for approved maintenance and repairs to be completed (e.g
Oil change, washing bay)
Vehicle service request is being raised in time
Record all movements in the vehicle logbook and submit weekly inspection reports as per schedule
Fully updating logbook approved journeys destination with and filling check list
Ensure the vehicle always has sufficient fuel for emergency responses
Fuel request made in time
Ensure passengers use appropriate safety restraints while vehicle is in motion
Ensure correct loading and unloading of vehicle, verify status of delivered goods against required documents, submit documents to receiver of goods and return completed documents to the operations department, receiver acknowledged goods delivered as they were being sent by the regional store officer
Ensure all passengers have necessary papers in order before travelling, verify waiver forms are signed by unauthorized passengers
Keep vehicle clean and free of debris
Routinely inventory vehicle emergency and first aid supplies and report needs to supervisor
In case of accidents and emergencies, follow MTI medical emergency procedures and evacuate passengers according to policy; complete written accident report
Ensure that up to date vehicle and driver documents are in the vehicle as required, regularly check vehicle documents are valid i.e
