With the benefit of my medical background and clinical experience, under the Health Financing and Investment portfolio, I facilitated investor financing of 540 million Kenya shillings for two primary health and three specialized health facilities; growing the firm's hospital capital placement portfolio by 150%
Developed and presented the investment case for medical laboratory diagnostics in East Africa at a conference in Nairobi; this data was used to guide investors and donors on procurement of diagnostic equipment, negotiating with suppliers and examining suitable business models for sustainability of equipment
At the level of health policy, I developed qualitative and quantitative data collection tools and did analysis for the Comparative Analysis of Selected World Bank Global Financing Facility related Investments study; to enhance their civil society activities in 7 countries; Guatemala, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Nigeria and Sierra Leone, co-authored the final report with findings and recommendations to harmonize and improve the activities of and rally civil society organizations funded by the Open Society Foundation those countries and completed a review of the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health context and policy mapping study for the African Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC) in Mozambique
