I am directly responsible for ensuring sustainable availability, proper stock and storage management and rational use of medicines in health facilities in the refugee settlement as per UNHCR Drug essential medicine list and standard operating procedure (SOPs) through proper quantification, forecasting, capacity building of pharmacy staff through continuous supervision, mentorship, and coaching.

Using consumption logs/ dispensing logs at user department in bimonthly quantification and annual procurement planning, which has greatly contributed to increased stock availability with minimal stock outs and increased consumption at departments,

Through regular continuous medical education and continuous professional development, medicine and therapeutic committee meetings and quantification meetings and consultation active involvement all members handling stock had increased.

Achieving over 99% consecutively level of accuracy of the physical count with both the hard copy stock management tool (stock card) and the electronic system (Rx solution)

Coordinating pharmaceutical Implementing partners in the country regarding the implementation of ministry of health pharmaceutical improvement strategy which included Essential medicine SPARS (Supervision, Performance assessment and recognition strategy), LAB SPARS, TB SPARS, ART SPARS, PFM (Pharmaceutical financial management) focusing on the facilitation of the medicine management supervisor (MMS) who were doing the work and their reporting qualitatively and quantitatively.

To build the capacity of Medicines Management Supervisors (MMS) and other Key district health stakeholders in pharmaceutical inventory management with necessary skills, Knowledge and expertise required to make effective and efficient supply chain management and pharmaceutical financial management supervisions.

Implement efficient and effective systems to facilitate, monitor and evaluate/appraise and recognize qualitative and quantitative MMSs performances.

• Arranged appointments with doctors, pharmacists and medical teams to raise awareness of latest product launches.
• Analyzed market to identify new opportunities and strengthen relationships with hospitals, medical centers and primary provider physicians.
• Collaborated with vendor representatives and company customers to set up optimal delivery schedules.
• Conducted routine product demonstrations to verify proper utilization and improve patient outcomes.

Started as Deputy to the head of the region and later promoted to the head of the region, was responsible for aligning the regional activities to SURE project strategy, creating a conducive environment for staff and partners to optimally deliver to the expectation through monitoring and regular appraisal.

While at TASO, I was directly responsible for ensuring sustainable availability, proper stock and storage management and rational use of medicines as per TASO Drug essential medicine list through proper quantification and forecasting. I was a peer mentor for the two northern TASO centers (Gulu and Masindi). I was the secretary for the medicine and therapeutic committee secretary for the center.
