I am directly responsible for ensuring sustainable availability, proper stock and storage management and rational use of medicines in health facilities in the refugee settlement as per UNHCR Drug essential medicine list and standard operating procedure (SOPs) through proper quantification, forecasting, capacity building of pharmacy staff through continuous supervision, mentorship, and coaching.
Using consumption logs/ dispensing logs at user department in bimonthly quantification and annual procurement planning, which has greatly contributed to increased stock availability with minimal stock outs and increased consumption at departments,
Through regular continuous medical education and continuous professional development, medicine and therapeutic committee meetings and quantification meetings and consultation active involvement all members handling stock had increased.

Coordinating pharmaceutical Implementing partners in the country regarding the implementation of ministry of health pharmaceutical improvement strategy which included Essential medicine SPARS (Supervision, Performance assessment and recognition strategy), LAB SPARS, TB SPARS, ART SPARS, PFM (Pharmaceutical financial management) focusing on the facilitation of the medicine management supervisor (MMS) who were doing the work and their reporting qualitatively and quantitatively.

While at TASO, I was directly responsible for ensuring sustainable availability, proper stock and storage management and rational use of medicines as per TASO Drug essential medicine list through proper quantification and forecasting. I was a peer mentor for the two northern TASO centers (Gulu and Masindi). I was the secretary for the medicine and therapeutic committee secretary for the center.
