  • Developed periodic budgeted activity plans since June 2018, aligned towards achieving the targets of the four main objectives of vLMD in Wakiso, Nakasongola, and Nakaseke.
  • Created over 30 SOPs and data collection tools for use by the vLMD field team especially for providing support supervision of health personnel and delivering products to facilities.
  • Developed 12 delivery route plans based on the geographical coordinates of 179 facilities in the three pilot districts, using the Google Map application, enhancing efficient deliveries.
  • Supervised a field team of over 20 staff in conducting support supervision and deliveries of vaccines and related supplies to 179 health facilities for 20 consecutive months.
  • Updated the metadata collection tool developed by CHAI, reflecting the monthly performances against each specific target of the vLMD project for over 15 months.
  • Coordinated with the Human Resources and Finance departments of BLL, ensuring timely resource availability for the vLMD staff and all outsourced service providers.
  • Managed the adverse events experienced by any vLMD field team staff while on duty mainly vehicle mechanical failures, health disturbances, and professional misconduct.
  • Initiated capacity-building activities to address identified areas of weakness among vLMD and facility staff like defensive driving lessons for drivers and VVM trainings.
  • Set functional automatic min/max stock levels in Logistimo LMIS for 179 facilities to optimize stocking, reducing stockout events by 25 – 40% in at least 75% of the health facilities by the third quarter of the vLMD pilot study.
  • Increased the use of Logistimo LMIS by the District Cold Chain Technicians (DCCTs) and EPI FPs at the 30 COE facilities to 100% by the third quarter of the vLMD pilot study for ordering, allocating, and inventory updating transactions.
  • Provided administrative and operational support for transporting all vaccines to the facilities within the same VVM stage as were dispatched by the DCCTs from each DVS.
  • Reduced the freeze and heat fridge alarms by over 12%, controlling the discards of closed vials of vaccines at around 0.12% by the fourth quarter of the vLMD pilot study.
  • Reviewed the functionality of Logistimo LMIS, causing the addition of more than eight stock items including cold chain laboratory supplies, and the bundling of related products.
  • Lobbied for recommendations from district leaders in Uganda in 2018, for a bid application by BLL to National Medical Stores (NMS), where BLL was awarded a joint essential medicines last mile delivery contract.
  • Reviewed the Logistics Operations/Distribution Manual Version 1.0 for the Distributions Department at BLL.
