• Provide managerial and technical direction and guidance to project in line with expected project outcomes
• Manage stakeholder and partner relationships, Collaborate with key stakeholders including partners and Canada based WUSC staff to develop key project planning deliverables such as Annual work plans, Budgets and reports.
• Ensure coordination between AGENCI technical experts in order to develop strategies for gender equality and social inclusion
• Coordinate project governance roles such as convening regular team meetings with partners and annual, and annual Regional Advisory committee meetings, and representing AGENCI in official capacity in-country.
• Leverage additional funds for WUSC activities in Uganda, including working with teams in Canada to develop proposal documents and maintaining relationships with relevant Uganda-based actors such as multilateral and bilateral donors.
• Oversee (alongside M&E team) a results monitoring system for the project which enables regular monitoring of progress toward results and iterative management;
• Ensure high quality reporting is completed and submitted in a timely manner;
• Maintain regular communication with WUSC colleagues in Canada to ensure appropriate support; and
• Ensure that project feedback, results and lessons learnt are effectively fed back to inform adjustments and improvements in project approaches, scale-up and delivery.
• Manage WUSC AGENCI team of 04 staff in Uganda, including supervision and evaluation of work of all project staff.
• Oversee human resources management issues such as employment policies and practices, in line with local law and organization policy.
• Establish and oversee financial management systems in collaboration with finance teams
• Develop and monitor project budget and ensure regular reporting to the donor.

• Provided technical support and guidance to staff and project partners on core GESI outcomes through routine meetings, field follow ups and report reviews.
• Reviewed GESI documents (the Gender Equality and Social inclusion (GESI strategy) to assess progress of GESI integration in project activities.
• Facilitated organizational leaning through various learning labs to build capacity of staff and partners on GESI to enhance
  appropriate mainstreaming of Gender in project activities.
• Collaborated with WUSC GESI team to develop gender specific guidance document on Engaging men and boys in the project.
• Provided general managerial support (partnership coordination, approvals, and strategic leadership) to deputy program manager during leave.
• Reviewed and provide guidance on procurement in line with the organizations procurement guidelines.
• Led implementation of WUSC innovative activities on E-mentorship which links learners in crisis affected areas with online mentors to build their confidence.
• Participated in recruitment of staff to support in implementation of project activities on psycho social support and e-mentorship.
  Promoted learning by conducting activity assessment (Post E-mentorship) to inform scale up of e-mentorship program in other schools.

Key achievements

• Provided technical guidance to project partners to ensure the integration of gender equality and social inclusion strategies throughout implementation.
• Continuously supported Deputy Program Manager to execute key tasks including partner coordination while she was away on annual leave
• Strong experience in partnership building and nurturing relationships while working with like-minded NGOs, local government, line ministry, donors and community-based structures.

• Monitored and documented operation of energy innovations for solar kitchens, and plastic recycling plant to aid in identifying lessons for scaling.
• Collaborated with MEAL team, to conduct project specific gender assessments to inform gender mainstreaming needs of the project.
• Led the development of gender action plan and oversaw integration of gender into project activities
• Executed awareness sessions on gender and equity with refugees and host communities.

• Executed Gender justice and Emergency response projects in refugee settlements of Rhino camp, Imvepi and Kyangwali- (West Nile and Southwestern Uganda) in line CARE-Uganda’s business plan.
• Facilitated reflection sessions with women and girls on gender, social and cultural barriers to their meaning participation in decision making and governance.
• Built capacity of over 100 crisis affected women in agency and confidence building, social relations, as well as collective action to co create solutions that address issues that limit their meaningful participation in humanitarian decision making.
