  • Conducted causality assessments of over 1,000 Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), applied signal detection methodologies to identify potential safety concerns associated with medicinal products and initiated regulatory actions such as product recalls (over 10recalls), suspension of product from the drug register (products from 3 manufacturing facilities) following risk detection etc.,
  • Conducted thorough reviews of over 30 Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and 18 Risk Management Plans (RMPs), contributing to the comprehensive evaluation of drug safety profiles and risk minimization strategies,
  • Investigated and resolved over 80 drug quality related complaints from the market, ensuring timely and effective responses to safeguard public health and maintain product quality standards,
  • Participated in over 20 Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspections (both local and foreign inspections), to ensure compliance with quality standards,
  • Participated in 18 Good Clinical Practice (GCP) inspections to verify compliance, integrity and reliability of clinical trial data,
  • Spear headed 5 GVP inspections, to assess Pharmacovigilance (PV) systems and ensure compliance to PV requirements,
  • Conducted inspections in over 2,000 drug outlets (pharmacies and drug shops) to assess their compliance with licensing requirements, facilitating the regulation of pharmaceutical distribution channels,
  • Vetted over 300 drug promotional materials/adverts, to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and promoting accurate and responsible marketing practices,

  • Participated in the “EAC Pharmacovigilance experts working group workshop on development of a draft cross boarder strategic plan and protocol for piloting Pharmacovigilance tools”, organized by the EAC secretariat from 4th to 8th March 2019 at Nairobi, Kenya.
  • Participated in the IGAD Medicine Regulatory Harmonization (IGAD-MRH) program on “Survey of the quality of oxytocin in selected IGAD cross-border areas and training of sample collectors” organized by the IGAD secretariat from 1stto 5th October 2018 at Entebbe, Uganda.
